Spicy, chatpata pizza: KWK

I try to catch up with Koffee with Karan as much as I can (when I'm in the mood for that sort of thing). So..Season 3 has been interesting, he's not sucking up to his guests as much as he used to, but the questions are still firmly entrenched in the 'safe' zone for the seniors (read Ash, Abhi, Farah Khan)  while being a little more 'in your face' for the relative newbies (Deepika, Sonam).

Margherita Pizza - The first episode with Ash and Abhi was ultra-lite. Abhi was his usual laid-back, entitled self, Karan was pandering to both of them, but Ash stole the limelight with her terrible giggles, flat jokes (she said what?), and generally leaving the guys a little befuddled about the next conversation point. I also got the feeling that she badly wanted to be 'one of the guys' (Why Ash Why? You are exquisite to look at, just stay silent and the talk show can swirl around you!).

Veggie Supreme - The second episode..meh..had Ranbir and Imran, answering questions and being just a little goofy. Nothing controversial or great, just okay. The one thing I did notice was that Sonam placed dead last in their rankings for sexiness, acting ability, and other such ranking questions. When asked to explain, they just brushed it away as Sonam giving off a classical(huh?) vibe and not being thought of by both of them as 'sexy'. Hmm..

Pepperoni with extra chilly: The third episode..now we're talking (literally!), a little too much maybe? Deepika and Sonam were at their bitchiest best but it did come across as giggly girl talk. Definitely fun watching. I'm a little more impressed with both of them in this show. I almost missed this show because I had the misfortune of sitting through a couple of their movies (dull, insipid acting) but I thought, what the heck, let's see if there's anything in there at all. Boy, was I surprised! Although Sonam does come across as terribly entitled (there, that word again!) and arrogant, and Deepika as naive to the core and suitably chastened by her RK experience :o)
